Asia Cup 2023: Pakistan Will Be Written On Team India’s Jersey

The Asia Cup 2023 brings the 16th edition of premium Asian cricket to Pakistan and Sri Lanka. India is scheduled to participate in a hybrid model format that sees all Men in Blue games take place in Sri Lanka. However, a strange turn of events will see Team India wear a jersey with ‘Pakistan’ written on it.

Many reactions have trailed the leaked logo on Twitter showing Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma posing with a Team India shirt with Pakistan written on its chest region. Let’s see why Pakistan is written on Team India’s jersey at Asia Cup 2023.

Why Would Pakistan Be on the Team India Jersey at Asia Cup 2023?

Rohit Sharma will lead Team India with jerseys showing Pakistan on its chest area. Pakistan is the host country for Asia Cup 2023 and all teams must place the tournament logo on their team jerseys. India’s traditional blue jersey has the Pakistan logo at its right chest area across the BCCI logo.

India will feature the 3-stars logo showing their WC wins even if they are the most successful Asia Cup team in history. The 7-time winners will look beyond team names pasted on their jerseys and seek to extend their Asia Cup wins in Sri Lanka.
